Given the unprecedented level of graduate unemployment we want to highlight entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path. The economy needs more entrepreneurs to boost economic growth, provide jobs and solve some of the world’s most pressing social problems. Too often entrepreneurship is seen as something you do later on in life or something completely unattainable. This must change, and in order to do this we must expose students and graduates to the world of entrepreneurship early on by providing them with work placements in start-ups and small businesses whilst at university. Start-ups do not have the time or resources to market themselves on campus, neither do they have the ‘brand’ to automatically attract candidates. Therefore Enternships.com provides a way for start-ups to connect to talent on campus. We are not only a jobs board but a means to create a culture change so that doing an 'enternship' will have the same kudos (if not even more!) than doing a corporate internship in a blue-chip company. Our vision is for the word – enternship – to enter the dictionary and by linking the ‘aspiring’ to the ‘inspiring’ we unleash the entrepreneurial talent in young people.
